
Palisadian photographer Dina Humphreys shared a photo taken at Malibu Surfrider Beach toward the end of summer when surf was high.

The Westside Chapter of National Charity League Class of 2026 members recently hosted a library installation at Middleton Elementary School in Huntington Park with items collected during its Access Books drive. The Ticktockers exceeded their goal with more than 5,000 books donated to the project.
NCL Westside Chapter, a “national organization of mothers and daughters focused on philanthropy, culture and leadership,” is now accepting new members for the 2023-24 year. Mothers of current sixth-graders who are interested in joining or finding additional information can do so at nationalcharityleague.org/chapter/westside.

Area student and human rights activist Clementine Causse collaborated with the Palisades Woman’s Club to organize March for Iranian Women’s Rights on October 30: “a protest to stand in solidarity with the women in Iran fighting for their rights.” The group gathered at the corner of Sunset and Swarthmore. “The goal is to spread awareness and bring attention by handing out information pamphlets we made,” Causse shared.
