
The Aztec Patrol of Scout Troop 223 conducted a service project on Mother’s Day to benefit the Palisades community as well as support the Neighborhood Youth Association. The project, planned entirely by the patrol and led by their Patrol Leader Hayden Prince, was hosting a flower fundraiser.


On Sunday, May 8, Village Green Board Members Cindy Kirven and Betsy Collins gave away more than 50 tomato plants at the park.
“They were gone in 45 minutes,” Village Green President Marge Gold shared. “Betsy said it was fun seeing so many happy people getting their plants. Cindy said she had fun giving them away.”
The tomato plants can be planted in the ground or in a pot.
The Smoke Label, founded by Palisadians Jennifer and Jesse Erwin, hosted an event at Palisades Village eatery Qué Padre on Cinco de Mayo, offering complimentary tastings of its artisan smoked tequila. The evening included tacos and margaritas on the restaurant’s patio, as well as the park area.
