St. Andrew’s Society hosted a free event in August at Will Rogers Polo Club, with “food, libations and camaraderie” provided.
Children’s Bureau of Southern California, which has residents of Pacific Palisades on its board, recently was awarded the 2021 BEST Award for Employee Training and Development from the Association for Training Development. The nonprofit is among 71 organizations from around the world to receive an award this year and was recognized during a virtual ceremony on August 30.
“Children’s Bureau won this award for its exceptional internal learning platform, Children’s Bureau University,” according to information shared by the nonprofit. “After the agency’s workforce of nearly 500 employees transitioned to working remotely in early 2020, the training and learning processes in place made the quick shift to a virtual platform as well.”
Ronald Reagan-Palisades Post 283 of the American Legion recently hosted a picnic with UCLA Veteran Resource Center at Veterans Gardens at Palisades Recreation Center.
