Signs Reveal ERES, Isabel Marant to Open Soon

Several changes are underway at Palisades Village, including the opening of Officine Générale and signs going up revealing that two additional tenants, ERES and Isabel Marant, will be joining the mix soon.
“Officine Générale was founded in 2012 by Pierre Mahéo based on traditional tailoring with military and workwear influences and attention to detail,” according to a press release from the apparel brand. “The collection reflects a Parisian sensibility transposed from his surroundings and what has inspired him since childhood: Roger Vadim, Maurice Ronet, Francois Truffaut, Jonas Bloquet, Louis Garrel, Jacques Dutronc, Tahar Rahim, Jean-Michel Frank, Benjamin Biolay, Nicolas Godin.”
The Palisades Village store, which opened toward the end of January in the space previously occupied by See’s Candies, marks Officine Générale’s first location in the Los Angeles area. The store carries a “wide selection” of the men’s and women’s collection, as well as the Daily Classics line.
“The 1,200-square-foot shop has been designed by designer and founder Pierre Mahéo and his wife Nina Haverkamp along with Paris-based architect Juliette Rubel, who has helped realize the designs of the Officine Générale stores in Paris, London and New York,” according to the press release.
The ambiance of the Palisades Village store was described as an evolution of the brand’s spaces in Paris and New York.
“The first time I went to Palisades Village in the fall of 2021, my wife and I had an immediate connection with the space,” Mahéo shared. “We were impressed with the quality of the development, the amazing surroundings and the community spirit it exuded. I am so glad to open my first store in California in the Palisades Village and being able to offer Officine Générale to our friends in Los Angeles.”
The space features artwork selected by Mahéo and Haverkamp, including a composition by Michaël Schouflikir “made from pieces of wood recovered from old theater sets” as well as three collages by Miriam Tölke.
“A set of hand sculptures installed on the wall complements the decor adding a personal touch to the interior with two mid-century foundry pots used for plants,” the press release continued. “All the racks and shelving units have been custom made locally in Los Angeles, in hammered steeled and in oak wood.”
Opening soon, according to the Palisades Village website and signs placed along the storefront, will be “luxury French swimwear brand” ERES. The store will be located on Swarthmore Avenue, in the space where The Little Market recently closed.
“Explore the Parisian-based line’s iconic swimwear, French lace lingerie, must-have activewear and elevated beachwear for resort-ready looks,” according to Palisades Village.
The Little Market closed on January 8, citing changes in the brand’s direction. A post on Instagram referenced a letter that was shared, announcing the “next evolution” of the nonprofit.
“As part of this transition,” the post continued, “we have made the difficult decision to close our storefront in Pacific Palisades.”

A representative from the ERES brand shared that the boutique is slated to open on April 5. It currently operates a store in Beverly Hills, so the Palisades location will allow the brand to “reach both sides of Los Angeles.”
“Our desire to position ourselves in California is strong because of the products we offer, which are well adapted to Californian life,” the representative shared. “Pacific Palisades is a perfect place to set up shop on the west side of Los Angeles, and to be closer to Malibu, Venice and Santa Monica.”
Isabel Marant, founded in Paris in 1995, is also slated to open soon on Swarthmore Avenue, in a space previously occupied by Madewell. The brand operates storefronts around the globe, with an additional LA location on Melrose Place.
“It all started in 1989, when 22-year-old Isabel Marant launched Twen, her first knit and jersey brand,” according to the brand’s website. “In 1995, she held her first show under her own name.”
Marant opened her first boutique in Paris in 1998, according to the website, launching a “carefree new line,” Isabel Marant Étoile, in 2000, followed by men’s clothing in 2017 and eyewear in 2021.
“More than 25 years after the brand’s creation, its fundamentals are still the same: Isabel Marant remains the most unruly of the great French fashion houses,” the website continued. “In the lockstep world of Parisian fashion, this designer stands out as a veritable troublemaker. With a love for materials that live and travel, she draws inspiration from across the world to irreverently refresh urban clothing.”
As previously reported by the Palisadian-Post, Saint Laurent is also slated to open soon, in the space formerly occupied by Amazon Books, as well as ROCA Pizza where SunLife Organics was previously located.
Saint Laurent, founded by a French fashion designer in the 1960s, offers a line of luxury handbags, ready to wear, shoes, leather goods and accessories for men and women.
Amazon announced at the start of March 2022 that it would be closing all of its bookstores and pop-up shops, including Amazon Books in Palisades Village, which closed on March 19, 2022.
ROCA Pizza, created by California Pizza Kitchen’s Co-Founder Rick Rosenfield and his wife Esther, will offer “an elevated interpretation of Roman-style street-food pizza served ‘al taglio,’ which translates to ‘by the cut.’”
“The restaurant celebrates the Roman origin of its style of pizza (‘RO’) with California inspiration (‘CA’), blending creativity and a commitment to premium products sourced both locally and internationally,” according to the Palisades Village website. “Starting with select organic flours, the dough is cold-fermented for up to 72 hours, then baked in an imported and highly specialized Italian oven that helps create a honeycomb texture and crisp crust with a notable crunch.”
