The docent-led Hyperion tour shows how the equivalent of two Rose Bowl’s full of liquid waste from across our city is processed each day. Following the Clean Water Act improvements completed in 1998, Hyperion was selected as one of the top 10 Public Works Projects of the 20th century.The tour will be followed by lunch at a restaurant in nearby Manhattan Beach.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, April 16, the Woman’s Club on Haverford is hosting dessert and duplicate bridge from noon to 3 p.m. The cost is $8. Please RSVP to Judith Lange at (310) 710-7798. Free parking is available.
