As Caruso’s Palisades Village begins to take shape, and more and more tenants are announcing their arrival, here is an exclusive inside look at the incoming Cinépolis theater in it all its retro glory.
A rendering attached to plans submitted to the Department of City Planning shows the new restaurant/bar that will inhabit the 3,000-square-foot lobby to welcome film buffs into the 13,000-square-foot building that will house five auditoriums.
The movie theater hours are limited between 9 a.m. and 1 a.m. daily, with two auditoriums allowed to operate from 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
“The hours of alcohol service at the movie theater shall be limited to 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily,” the city’s approval letter said. “Except that two auditoriums shall be allowed to serve alcohol from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.”
Cinepolis is limited to a long list of conditions like “no loading or unloading of deliveries shall be permitted along Sunset Boulevard” and any graffiti to be removed or painted over within 24 hours, ensuring skeptics that the new neighbors will be keeping a tidy shop.
