Hiker Rescue | Temescal Gateway Park
The Los Angeles Fire Department performed a hoist rescue for a man who experienced some kind of medical distress while hiking near the 15600 block of West Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades on Monday, July 29, around 1:30 p.m.
“After a ground and air search, LAFD crews located a hiker in medical distress and will be conducting a hoist operation to take the adult male to safety,” LAFD reported.

Mini mioche is a Toronto-based children’s clothing store that opened its first U.S. location in Pacific Palisades. The shop is located at 15207 Palisades Village Lane.

Swimmer Search | Will Rogers State Beach
A nearly 90-minute search the night of Wednesday, July 24, for a possibly missing swimmer in the ocean near Will Rogers State Beach was called off after authorities determined the object in the water was likely a marine animal, Los Angeles Fire Department Station 23 reported.
At about 9:05 p.m., a bystander reported seeing something, possibly a person, in the water. The fire and police departments and the U.S. Coast Guard assisted in the search, which was called off around 10:30 p.m.

Summer Closures | Topanga
The California Department of Transportation announced a summer closure schedule of Topanga Canyon Boulevard between Pacific Coast Highway and Mulholland Drive for pavement preservation and slope stabilization projects.
Topanga Canyon Boulevard will be fully closed overnight between PCH and Grand View Drive Monday through Wednesday from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will additionally be conducting one-way traffic control along various locations of Topanga Canyon Boulevard Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Friday from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.
