Gelson’s Promotes New President and CEO | The Village
Gelson’s—which operates a location in the Village area of Pacific Palisades—has recently promoted John Bagan to president and CEO of the grocery chain, following the departure of Rob McDougall, who retired after 15 years.
McDougall joined Gelson’s in 2007 and rose to CEO in 2014, helping expand the chain from 18 to 27 locations, as well as introducing in-store social spaces, like wine bars. He spent nearly five decades in the grocery business, according to a press release.
With his new leadership position, Bagan will assume greater responsibility for Gelson’s vision, business and growth strategies.
