Update on Weapon Archive of Late Jeffrey Lash | Pacific Palisades
The Palisadian-Post reported in June that the firearm arsenal belonging to Jeffrey Lash, who died in 2015 in The Highlands, would be sold to licensed firearms dealers.
On Friday, Aug. 10, City News Service noted that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cowan is considering whether these weapons should instead be destroyed.
“This is a very strange case and I need to have more factual information,” Cowan said during a hearing. “I don’t want to have people hurt by these weapons.”
There are approximately 850 weapons in the arsenal, some described by Cowan as “sophisticated.”
The great mystery that surrounds Lash is that he repeatedly claimed to have connections with high-powered political and national security figures, yet no evidence has been found to support that.

Road Accident Causes Power Outage | El Medio Bluffs
At approximately 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, a road accident occurred at the intersection of Temescal Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway.
Los Angeles Fire Department Station 23 and West Bureau LAPD responded to the emergency, where a Ford vehicle collided with a power pole and then a motorcycle.
At least one victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Roads were closed during the clean up of the pole and wires, which came down in entirety.
“The accident took out a power pole and left the Bel Air Bay Club temporarily without power,” Station 23 Captain Ullrich told the Palisadian-Post. “But it was restored the next morning.”
Residents on Alcima, Temecula and Akron Streets were among the 1,900 customers affected by the power outage.
Jason Stinnett from the public relations office of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power confirmed to the Post, “Power was restored by 3:30 a.m.”
