4th of July Block Party | Palisades Village
Palisades Village will host a 4th of July Block Party on Swarthmore Avenue on Monday, July 4, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“Join us in celebrating Independence Day, with this blast of a block party,” the Palisades Village website read. “This event is complimentary and open to the public.
Festivities will include live music, star-spangled crafts, festive offers and so much more, according to an event flyer.

PPTFH Online Meeting | Pacific Palisades
Sign-ups for the next Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness Online Community Meeting, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 25, from 7 to 8:15 p.m., are now open.
The meeting, featuring guest speakers Judge Stephen V. Manley, Santa Clara County Superior Court, and Sheila Carter, NAMI Westside LA board of directors, will focus on a “new approach to helping the most severely ill and vulnerable.”
“One of the most urgent needs is to help the most severely mentally ill and/or addicted persons break out of the cycle of homelessness, hospitalization and incarceration,” PPTFH shared ahead of the meeting. “Please join us to hear two experts discuss the proposed Community Assistance Recovery & Empowerment Court legislation, which will connect a person in crisis with behavioral health care, medication and housing while holding both government and participants accountable.”

Refillery LA Visit | Pacific palisades
The Refillery LA truck will be present at the Temescal Canyon Road farmers market on Thursday, June 30, between 2 and 4 p.m.
The truck is a “mobile refill station offering eco-friendly soaps, detergents, personal care products and more,” according to its website. Those who wish to visit the truck can either bring their own container or purchase one at the mobile refill station. Refills are sold by the ounce.
The market is located on Temescal Canyon Road, across from Palisades Charter High School and about one-quarter of a mile toward Pacific Coast Highway.

Docents Needed | Santa Monica
Santa Monica Conservancy is seeking docents and volunteers at the Annenberg Community Beach House, Downtown Walking Tour, Preservation Resource Center and its Program Committee.
“Volunteering is a unique opportunity to make an impact on historic preservation and meet others in the community who share your interests in local history and preservation,” according to a statement from the conservancy. “Our docents and volunteers actively engage a diverse audience—locals, tourists, history buffs, preservationists and students—about the architecture, history and importance of preserving our architectural heritage.”
