Public Health Reports a Decrease in COVID-19 Metrics | Los Angeles
COVID-19 cases, including hospitalization and positive tests, are decreasing, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
Public Health reported a 45% decline with 21,709 cases this week, compared to the week of January 17, which reported 39,117 cases.
While numbers are down, Public Health still suggests taking precautions in attending gatherings, if one is sick. With the upcoming NFC Championship game at hand, attendees are required to be fully-vaccinated or provide proof of a negative test result in order to attend, and take the proper precautions.
“With multiple opportunities for gathering and celebrating in the coming days, including cheering on the LA Rams, following sensible safety measures will allow us to continue our recent decline,” Director of Public Health Dr. Barbara Ferrer said in a statement.
