It was quite a senior season on the mound for Palisades High senior Jed Moscot. The Dolphins’ ace was voted Pitcher of the Year in the Western League and last week was selected to the All-City Division I team. He was the only Palisades player chosen.
Moscot allowed two earned runs with 40 strikeouts in his first 33 innings pitched this season and also plays third base. The UC Davis-bound right-hander threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts in the Dolphins’ 2-0 wildcard playoff victory over Sylmar.

“We played some strong teams, but I didn’t see anyone better than Jed,” Pali High Coach Mike Voelkel said. “He was lights out all year.”
Juniors Eric Yang and Jeremy Polon of City champion El Camino Real were named co-MVPs. Catcher Dalton Blumenfeld of Western League winner Hamilton also made the squad.
