
Michelle Weekes, a resident of Pacific Palisades, passed away on April 23. She was 40 years old. Michelle was born in Los Angeles on February 16, 1972, to parents Brad and Sandra Weekes, and grew up in the Palisades. She attended Palisades High School (class of 1990) and the Parsons New School for Design. A sensitive and supportive person, Michelle performed humanitarian work that included FEMA disaster relief following Hurricane Katrina and animal-cruelty prevention programs. Her passion, vibrancy and kindness were ever-present in her artwork, as well as her unconditional love for her friends and family. She lit up a room wherever she was, and her energy and laughter were infectious to everyone who was fortunate to meet her. Michelle was predeceased by her mother, Sandra, and is survived by her father Brad and stepmother Mary of Brentwood; her twin brother Michael; her sisters, Juliana and Kristina; her brother Brian; and her nine nieces and nephews. Private services were held in Malibu on April 29. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
