
Pacific Palisades resident Evan Meister, a junior midfield player on Harvard-Westlake’s varsity lacrosse team, was named to the All-Mission League first team in May. Meister helped lead the Wolverines to an undefeated regular season (13-0, 8-0 in Mission League); they advanced to the CIF Southern Section Playoffs for the second season in a row, where they lost to Agoura High, 11-10. For the 2011 campaign, he was the second leading scorer on the team with 64 points (26 goals and 38 assists) and also was the team leader in face-off percentage (67%) and ground balls (70). A three-year starter, he holds the school record for most points in a game (12) on five goals and seven assists during the 23-4 league win over Crespi; his 38 assists this season also set a school record. Meister was named as the recipient of The Captains Award by his coaches for his outstanding contributions on and off the field this season. He played his youth lacrosse with the LA Lacrosse League’s Pacific Palisades based WestSide Warriors.
