Maureen C. (“Chris”) Horning, a resident of Pacific Palisades for 33 years, died peacefully on Jan. 19.
She was born in Viborg, South Dakota, and was most recently a resident of Santa Monica.
She is survived by her daughters Claudia Horning of Los Angeles and Emily Horning of New Haven, Connecticut; her son-in-law David Zukowski of New Haven; and her sister Agnota Wheeler of St. George, Utah.
Her husband Charles Horning, a partner at Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles, pre-deceased her.
Chris was proud of her Danish heritage and would want a glass raised with a toast, “Skål to good friends and good times.”
