2022 in Mammoth is off to a roaring start. There are over 22 feet of snow at the summit of Mammoth Mountain. We received over 158 inches of snow in December alone, making for the second snowiest December on record, and a very white Christmas.
The skiing and riding are fantastic. Both Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain are open for skiing, riding and lessons.
Real estate inventory in Mammoth is at a record low with just five condos and five houses available. Normally, at this time of year, there would be 150 to 300 condos and 80+ houses.
In most years after the holidays, we usually see a small rise in inventory, but these are anything but usual times so we shall see.
Needless to say, it is a challenging time to buy, but it is an incredible time to sell. There is much pent-up demand for condominiums and houses, everything from small studios to large houses. We are seeing record sales prices.
