From traveling to singing ABBA’s greatest hits, check out what the Palisadian-Post Junior Reporter team accomplished this summer vacation.
“This summer my family took a memorable trip to Dana Point where we saw a pod of bottlenose dolphins and a baby sea lion while jet skiing for the first time. Afterward, we went to a nearby cafe called What a Dish and I enjoyed a delicious dessert called tiramisu in a chocolate teacup.”
“In June, I traveled to Italy. In July, I played Smee in the Theatre Palisades Youth production of ‘Peter Pan Jr.’ This is a picture of me playing Smee after one of my performances. I love theater and TPY is an excellent place to do what I love. Theater allows me to be anyone.”
“Cruising with my family on Nāpali Coast in Kauai Island. The sunset was beautiful and the spinner dolphins entertained us.”
On June 14, Gavin sat down with Rick Caruso to interview him about Palisades Village. Rick told Gavin that he’s really excited about the theater, Amazon Books and the restaurants.
“My 2018 summer, so far, has been my best summer yet! I’ve explored the World of Coca-Cola and an amazing aquarium in Georgia, and have been singing my heart out to classic ABBA tunes after watching ‘Mamma Mia 2.’ I’ve had a blast so far—and it keeps getting better and better. I also spent a couple of weeks at Camp Hollywoodland, explored the scenery in the Carolinas over July 4th with my BFFs and visited Dollywood. Then I zipped over to Maui where I spent the week with my friend Aria. Right now I’m in England where tomorrow I’ll explore Windsor Castle. Who knows, maybe I’ll see Prince Harry! Pip pip and cheerio!”
“My name is Vanessa and this is a photo of my brother Shane and me at the beach in Mexico. We had so much fun at the beach swimming at night and making the tie-dye shirts you see in this picture. It was a great summer!”
Drew worked with his friend, Jake Grossman, to host a fundraising Blue Plate Special to raise money for the Los Angeles chapter of The Thread Alliance. The two partnered with local restaurants, which gave a portion of proceeds to a nonprofit whose mission is to raise awareness for child abuse.
This summer, Éva took a road trip down the East Coast through American history, including exploring New York, Washington, D.C., and Colonial Williamsburg.
