Pacific Palisades is home to many beautiful shops and businesses—from expensive restaurants to boutiques. The Palisadian-Post decided to find some of the best spots in the Palisades for teenagers, from the perspective of teenagers.
Here is a list of the responses and locations collected, based on anonymous submissions:
Palisades Garden Café 15231 La Cruz Drive
Palisades Garden Café (lovingly referred to as “Garden” by most high schoolers) was by far one of the most popular responses. With the delicious, reasonably-priced food and vast array of treats, it’s the perfect place to stop by for an afterschool snack.
“The Garden [is my favorite] because the food is good. The chili cheese fries are amazing,” one student said.
Noah’s Bagels, 15270 Antioch Street
Starbucks, 15300 Sunset Boulevard
Noah’s Bagels and Starbucks are great for a morning snack.
Noah’s Bagels is delicious and affordable, but it’s also fast.
For high schoolers looking to grab breakfast before the tardy bell rings, it’s the perfect mix of efficient and tasty. It’s my favorite spot in the Palisades, and it’s a perfect way to start any morning (and still not be late to school.)
Starbucks is universal, and the Palisades location is a well-oiled machine.
“Starbucks has delicious pastries and refreshing drinks. It is a good place to hang out and spend time with friends,” one respondent shared.
Palisades Recreation Center, 851 Alma Real Drive
One of my favorite responses was the Palisades Recreation Center.
“It’s a fun place to hang out with your friends,” one Pali High senior said. “The tire swing is exciting, and you really just feel free to let out your inner child.”
It’s sweet to think that the park is a place for kids, young and old, to let loose and have fun.
the yogurt shoppe , 873 Swarthmore Ave
Of course, the yogurt shoppe makes the list. With a program that gives out free frozen yogurt for good grades, it’s no surprise that so many teenagers love to go. The different yogurt options (from vegan to sugar free) and peaceful atmosphere bring teenagers in every day of the week.
Paliskates , 1021 Swarthmore Ave
Paliskates is another popular hangout spot, with sweatshirts and sweatpants that can’t be beat. It’s a great place to get a gift for any teenager you might know. However, one of the most listed spots was CVS, where teenagers can grab just about anything they might need.
Palisades Village, 15225 Palisades Village Lane
Caruso’s Village (as it’s known amongst teenagers) is another favorite spot, with stores ranging from See’s Candy to Amazon Books. Many like to grab some food and head over to the green to relax or take in whatever entertainment happens to be there.
The Bluffs
While the bustle of the Village is popular, sometimes teens need a break. The Bluffs were a popular spot, albeit a bit farther from the village.
“It’s a good lookout spot. It’s really quiet, and you can see all the traffic and the ocean, along with a beautiful view,” one student said.
The Bluffs have long been a fan favorite, with both the hike and the location winning acclaim.
The Top of the World was another popular suggestion.
“You can see all of Los Angeles. You get a nice hike up to the open space, and you can bring towels and have picnics,” another teen said. “It’s a good place to listen to music and look at the view.”
While Palisades Village and flashy restaurants might cater to an adult crowd, there’s plenty for teenagers to do in the Palisades.
