UCCE Master Gardener and Marquez Charter Elementary School garden teacher Marie Steckmest will be offering a gardening workshop for children at the Palisades Branch Library on Saturday, July 15.
Designed for children in preschool to fifth grade, the focus of the workshop will be on growing summer vegetables and companion planting.
Beginning at 10:30 am and running until noon, the children will work alongside Steckmest to plant a summer vegetable in a pot before taking it home.
Parents are requested to RSVP by emailing Steckmest at info@palisadescares.org and giving contact information and the ages of each participant.
