A special branch of the Los Angeles Police Department that deals with sex crimes raided a home located south of Carthage Street on Swarthmore Avenue last Wednesday morning.
LAPD sources told the Palisadian-Post that the man in the house was placed under arrest in connection to an investigation involving child pornography. The operation involved at least 12 police officers, witnesses said.
LAPD Public Information Officer Norma Eisenman confirmed that the police did serve search warrants in the area. Neighbors saw police officers remove several computers and other electronic equipment from the home.
