LAPD: Expect Traffic Delays for Obama Visit

President Obama is in town Wednesday and Thursday to conclude his three-day West Coast fundraising swing that started in Seattle, and you know what that means…bring your favorite audio books for your drive. So let’s cut to the chase and let the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) say the traffic advisory (Thursday in Mandeville Canyon, especially).

Los Angeles: In an effort to assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of the President of the United States, from Wednesday July 23 through Thursday July 24 the following areas of the city should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members:

Wednesday July 23, 2014
The area around La Brea Avenue and West Olympic Boulevard from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The area around Beverly Boulevard and North Doheny Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The area around West 3rd Street and Rossmore Avenue from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The area around Beverly Boulevard and North Doheny Drive from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thursday July 24, 2014
The area around Beverly Boulevard and North Doheny Drive from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The area around Sunset Boulevard and Mandeville Canyon Road from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The area around Sunset Boulevard and Barrington Avenue from 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
The area around Grand Avenue and West Washington Boulevard from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
