No. 13 was not unlucky for Palisadian Jo Kremer on Sunday in Los Angeles. She and partner Zoe Nightingale won their 13th straight match, 23-21, 18-21, 15-11 to help USC’s beach volleyball team capture the inaugural Pac-12 championship with a 3-0 victory over Arizona.
Kremer and Nightengale earlier swept UCLA’s Julie Consani/Laurel Weaver 21-13, 23-21 for the first point in USC’s 3-2 semifinal win.
A 5-8 sophomore, Kremer transferred to USC from Notre Dame following the 2014 indoor season. She made the AVCA High School Sand Volleyball All-America First Team after earning All-CIF and All-Mission League honors in 2012 and 2013 at Harvard-Westlake.
