Former Palisades High volleyball setter Kaia Kanan, now a freshman at Cal State Northridge, played in her first collegiate match Friday in the Bay Area, recording 14 assists and six digs in the Matadors’ five-set win at San Francisco. She was back at it Saturday, contributing seven assists in a 3-0 loss to Saint Mary’s.
