October 5, 1973 – September 29, 2019
Our beloved Juliana Galindo, 45, of Pacific Palisades passed away on September 29 from the complications of breast cancer. She was surrounded by family who loved her and will remember her forever.
Born in Oxnard, California, on October 5, 1973, Juliana was a free spirit who loved music, dance, art, books, travel, movies, the beach and sipping a good café Americano with family and friends. She also loved to laugh and found many willing participants who enjoyed her humor and zest for life.
She attended St. Paul the Apostle School, Marymount High School and Loyola Marymount University. Friends she met along the way at each of these institutions remained close, and many generously and steadfastly supported her during her cancer treatment and in her final days under the loving care of the kind doctors and nurses at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Juliana was passionate about motherhood and welcomed her son Andrew Jude (AJ) Fisher into the world in December 2006. She had no greater joy in life than being AJ’s mom.
She is survived by her son AJ, her parents, Blanca Chavoya and Moises Galindo, brother Moses, three nephews, and grandmother Julia Lopez. A large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are mourning her passing but grateful for the time they had with her.
A funeral mass will be said at Corpus Christi Church in Pacific Palisades on Saturday, November 2, at 11 a.m. Juliana’s family welcomes all who knew her and want to wish her well in her eternal rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sister Stella Foundation at St. Paul the Apostle School at school.sp-apostle.org.
