
Julia Arrias, a former longtime resident of Pacific Palisades, has died following a 14-year battle with breast cancer. She was 59. Born in Gdansk, Poland, Julia studied fine art at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and her artwork was exhibited at galleries in Los Angeles and Connecticut. She loved living in Pacific Palisades with its beautiful beaches. After moving with her family to Westport, Connecticut, in 1996, Julia worked for Arts and Entertainment Television in Stamford for 10 years as a coordinating producer. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, John; their son Zachary; granddaughter Stella; and brothers Christopher and Andre. A fund for cancer research has been set up at Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York.
