Longtime Palisadian Jan Houghton Lindsey passed away on Friday, September 30, at the age of 90.
Born and raised on the Yakima Indian Reservation in Washington state, Jan became an early leader in Campus Crusade for Christ during her 20s. Settling in Pacific Palisades in 1969 with her young family, Jan became one of the founding teachers at the original Palisades Village School in 1979.

Additionally, Jan was an accomplished author, having helped her then husband, Hal Lindsey, pen several best-selling books, including “The Late Great Planet Earth.” Jan published two novels of her own in her 70s.
Beloved mother, sister and “Grammy,” Jan is survived by her three daughters: Robin, Jenny and Heide; her sister, Ellen, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
