A 6’9″ junior forward on the Stanford University men’s basketball team, James scored 16 points (going 7-of-8 from the field), added 10 rebounds in 25 minutes, and banked in a 10-foot jumper at the buzzer to lift the ninth-seeded Cardinal over No. 8 Arizona State 71-70 in the first round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament last Wednesday in Las Vegas. He added eight points and three rebounds the next day in an 84-80 loss to top-seeded Arizona. James posted 16 double-doubles and made the All-CIF Southern Section First Team his senior year at Loyola High in 2019. His sisters Caitlin, Michaela and Kerry all played volleyball at Marymount High under coach and fellow Palisadian Cari Klein.
