Palisades High junior tennis player Jake Sands took second in the Boys 18-and-under division at the USTA National tournament Feb. 11-13 in Las Vegas. He beat Issa Yoshida of Northern California, Matthew Tsolakyan of Glendale, Austin Di Julio of Southern California and top-seeded Ryan Seggerman of San Diego on his way to the finals.
Jake’s brother RJ, a senior at Pali High, has committed to play at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall and Jake has verbally committed to join his sibling and attend the Wharton School the following fall season.
