Pacific Palisades kickboxer Baxter Humby beat Atlanta’s Harris Norwood by unanimous decision in a WBC United States National Muay Thai super welterweight championship fight last Saturday night at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood. Humby, who is known internationally as the “One-Armed Bandit” because he was born without a right arm, dominated the five-round bout, improving his career record to 69-11-1. Harris, a two-time Shidokan champion, dropped to 27-12-2. * * * * Lizzy Danhakl, a junior at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, was recognized as an All-American at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Cleveland, Ohio last weekend. Danhakl, a former multi-sport standout at Harvard-Westlake High, took third place in the 800 meters, setting a school record with a time of 2:10.54. She is also a three-year starter on Williams’ women’s soccer team, which has posted a 55-3-1 record in her three seasons.
