HUG Raises Money to Fight Senior Care Facility

The Highlanders United for Good, Palisadians opposing a proposed eldercare facility at 1525 Palisades Drive, have hosted three meetings to explain plans to appeal city planners’ ruling in favor of the four-story project. HUG has created a GoFundMe to defray $100,000 expenses as they challenge the approval, arguing that it fails to meet the requirements of the Coastal Act and the California Environmental Quality Act.
