Former Palisades High volleyball star Hustin Howard earned Off the Block’s National Position Player of the Week Award, recognizing the libero, middle attacker, opposite hitter, outside attacker and setter who enjoyed the best performances in NCAA men’s volleyball.
A redshirt junior at Ohio State, Howard posted a match-high five blocks and added seven kills with zero errors (.778 attack percentage) in the Buckeyes’ four-set victory over George Mason on Sunday. The middle attacker also recorded eight kills with zero errors for a perfect 1.000 attack percentage last Friday in a five-set loss to Grand Canyon.
