The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk certified the final results for the November 8 General Election on Monday, December 5, 2022—revealing who gained ground across the city and Pacific Palisades.
The LA County Board of Supervisors declared that the election officially concluded on Tuesday, December 6. A total of 2,456,701 ballots were processed.
Pacific Palisades’ vote was recorded by precinct. According to Mike Sanchez, who handles media and communications at Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk: “The Palisades is a neighborhood of [LA] and therefore doesn’t have official boundaries that would be found in the Statement of Vote Cast by community.”
Of the precincts, most fall within the boundaries of the 90272 zip code, while others fall within the Santa Monica Canyon 90402 zip code.
Across the precincts that constitute the Palisades, a majority of community members voted for Rick Caruso in the race for LA mayor over Karen Bass.
In the precinct of the Palisades that covers the Alphabet Streets and adjacent areas, there were 1,372 votes for Caruso and 901 votes for Bass.
In the El Medio Bluffs area, there were 1,176 votes for Caruso and 762 votes for Bass. In Marquez/Castellammare, 1,936 voted Caruso and 1,054 voted Bass.

In the precinct that covers The Riviera, there were 1,330 votes for Caruso and 524 votes for Bass. And finally, in Palisades Highlands and adjacent areas, 1,906 people voted for Caruso and 895 for Bass.
Despite how Palisadians voted, Bass won the LA mayoral race over Caruso, finishing with the lead by over 89,900 votes (54.83% of the vote), according to final election results released December 5 by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk.
In the race to represent City Council District 11—which spans from Del Rey to Brentwood, Venice to Pacific Palisades and beyond—municipal law attorney Traci Park earned the majority of the Palisades’ vote with a total of 9,358 votes of the 16,397 ballots cast.
