West Los Angeles area detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects in a hot prowl burglary that took place on Monday, March 1, around 5:30 a.m. in Pacific Palisades.
Four suspects drove to a home on Miami Way, utilizing three different vehicles in tandem, according to an alert circulated in the community by LAPD.
Three of the suspects smashed the front glass door of a residence, while another kept watch outside as a lookout/getaway driver, according to the alert. The suspects made entry and ransacked the home while the victim barricaded himself in his bedroom.
The suspects managed to pry a small safe from the wall and attempted to carry it out to their vehicles before being confronted by security patrol. Three suspects fled, with one arrested at the scene.
“The detectives are still actively following up on leads and are asking the community members to contact the West Los Angeles burglary detectives if they have any additional information that may help with the investigation,” LAPD Officer Jae Lee told the Palisadian-Post on Tuesday, March 8.
