Four Pacific Palisades homes will be featured on the annual Holiday Home Tour this Sunday, November 11, and 46 vendors will participate in the free Holiday Boutique at Palisades High, where there is ample parking. The traditional tour, hosted by the Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club, showcases a 7,000-sq.-ft. modern home completed this year; a Parisian French villa made to look like it’s been standing in France for 500 years; a California Contemporary that merges traditional and contemporary elements and boasts both ocean and canyon views; and an 8,500-sq.-ft. Mediterranean masterpiece with an elaborate art collection and stunning walnut woodwork throughout the home. Proceeds will benefit local charities awarded through the Woman’s Club (PPWC). Last year, $111,000 was raised through the Home Tour and granted to 36 deserving nonprofits based in Pacific Palisades. Tickets ($60) and can be obtained by going to theppwc.org, on-site at the Holiday Boutique in the PaliHi gym, or at one of the homes on the tour. The Woman’s Club acknowledges the generosity of corporate sponsors Michael Edlen of Coldwell Banker, Gordon Gibson Construction and Anthony Marguleas of Amalfi Estates. The club is also grateful for the assistance of local designers, artists, florists and home-related vendors making contributions to enhance the homes and reflect the season. These vendors include interior designers Joy Barnett, Susan Jay, Ann Wait and Sandy Weinstock; florists Manal Karim of Palisades Flowers, Anthony’s Flowers and Gelson’s Flowers; entertainers The Jazz Three-O, Keegan Anglim, Charissa Barger, Christmas Matters carolers and the Palisades Symphony; and Z Gallerie Home Decor and Pali Wine Co. Club members Trish Bowe and Kris Kelly are co-chairs of the 2012 Home Tour committee. ’The variety of the homes on the tour this year is impressive, and offers something for everyone,’ said Tricia Grossman, president of the Woman’s Club. ‘What better way to spend a Sunday than by being inspired, taking a crash course in four diverse architectural and design styles, buying all of your holiday gifts and supporting local nonprofits?’
