Late actor and longtime Palisadian Ray Liotta’s Pacific Palisades home recently sold for $4.95 million, according to Dirt.
Liotta—whose prolific career spanned “Field of Dreams” to “Goodfellas”—purchased the Mediterranean-style residence for $2.7 million in 2003. Built in 2001 and sprawled across 6,184 square feet of living space, the home is situated in The Summit at Palisades Highlands, a “premier upscale family living community on the Westside in Los Angeles,” according to its website.
The terracotta-roofed, two-story home boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, with high ceilings and arched doorways distributed throughout. Nestled behind hedges, the secluded design of the landscaping offers a level of privacy and security.
Once in the home, guests are invited through a double-height foyer with a hanging chandelier and curved, iron-railed staircase. The entry then flows into a large formal living room, with a fireplace and adjoining dining room.
Additional main-level features include the gourmet kitchen, complete with professional appliances, a large center island with a breakfast bar, and walls of glass doors and windows that offer seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces, as well as ocean, canyon and mountain views.
A guest bedroom with its own bath sits on the lower level, while four ensuite bedrooms can be found upstairs. The primary bedroom features a balcony, fireplace, walk-in closet and a bathroom with dual vanities.
Outside, the backyard offers covered and open-patio space to soak in the California sun, along with a large pool and raised spa.
“The wonderful property provides a deluxe and tranquil retreat perched above the ocean and just above the hustle of the city in a private and prestigious community,” according to the listing.
Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Realty held the listing and represented the buyer with Zach Quittman, also of Coldwell Banker.
It was reported that Liotta died in his sleep on May 26 at the age of 67 while filming “Dangerous Waters” in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
With over 60 credits to his name, the actor was known for many roles in television and film, including Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas,” Shoeless Joe Jackson in “Field of Dreams” and more.
“Ray Liotta’s all-around career made him a triple threat and sadly his passing was devastating to the entertainment world,” Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ana Martinez said in March when he received his star. “The characters he portrayed will always be etched in Hollywood’s film history.”
