A high-speed police chase rolled through Pacific Palisades before ending north of Malibu about 9:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The pursuit of a man suspected of stealing a BMW started about 7 p.m. in the San Fernando Valley, but erratic driving prompted officers to abandon the chase, the L.A. Times reported.
But the chase started again when police spotted the suspect near the Grove shopping center.
The second chase continued westbound on the 10 Freeway before moving to the Palisades and ending north of Malibu.
The suspect surrendered without incident. No injuries were reported during the incident, according to authorities.
