
St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will hold a workshop on end-of-life issues on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The public is invited. Light refreshments will be served.
Entitled “Having the Last Word,” the workshop will cover a range of issues from healthcare decisions and estate planning to the psychosocial and spiritual aspects of planning for the end of one’s life.
The workshop will be led by four experts in their fields:
• The Rev. Brian G. Palmer, a member of the clergy at St. Matthew’s who sees, first-hand, the impact of not planning for the end of one’s life;
• Ms. Bunni Dybnis, a marriage and family therapist and care manager who understands the psychosocial implications of planning and not planning;
• John Martineau, an attorney who focuses on estate planning for the individual; and
• Dr. Daniel Keatinge, a physician and palliative care specialist who understands the health risks in aging for us all.
