Adam Levine Sells Palisades Home, Purchases up the Coast

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and model wife Behati Prinsloo have sold their Riviera home for $51 million—marking one of the biggest deals in the community to date.
Levine and Prinsloo originally purchased the home from Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner for $32 million at the end of 2018.
Described as “one of the most important estate properties on the Westside” in the listing, the home, situated on more than three acres of land, boasts unobstructed downtown and ocean views.
The compound features three separate structures, all of which have been remodeled “with the highest level of quality, design and style.”
A main house features five bedrooms and eight bathrooms with 9,000 square feet of living space with plaster walls, natural light wood floors, and steel doors and windows. Other amenities include a Dolby Digital theater and gourmet kitchen with walk-in refrigerator.
The grounds feature “huge lawns,” as well as a “resort-like” swimming pool and spa, walking paths that wind around the property, a basketball court, and chicken coop.
Kurt Rappaport with Westside Estate Agency held the listing, while Dalton Gomez of Compass represented the buyer, who has not yet been named, according to Los Angeles Times.
The record for most expensive home sold in the Palisades is $83 million for an off-market transaction in 2021, also in the Riviera, making the Levine/Prinsloo the second-largest sale, with Shane Smith’s Santa Monica Canyon estate, sold in 2021, in third at $48.67 million.
Up the coast, Levine and Prinsloo recently purchased Rob Lowe’s former Montecito home for $52 million, according to a report by Dirt.
The home, built in 2009 and retrofitted in 2019, features six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and an additional three half bathrooms. The property includes a two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest house, as well as a one-bedroom, one-bathroom pool house, spread out over nearly three and a half acres.
With 10,000 square feet of living space, the estate was custom designed by Don Nulty. Lowe sold to Jack McGinley, a healthcare private equity executive, and his wife, Julie, in fall 2020 for $44.5 million, according to Dirt.
Though the deal was completed off market, a past listing shared that the home included wood floors, intricate moldings and custom millwork throughout. The living and family rooms are attached to the yard through French doors.
The grounds featured a motor court with cobblestone accents and an outdoor living room, complete with a fireplace and surrounded by a lawn, meditative water feature and sunken tennis court.
