
Painter Margaret Francis’s latest exhibit, “Bloom,” opens on Saturday, September 7 at the Schomburg Gallery in Bergamot Station. An opening reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.
Francis’s Plein-Air paintings were created in the formal gardens of Gledstone Hall, her English country house in Yorkshire. Her paintings have been included in many prominent exhibitions including the Young Contemporary Show at the Royal Academy of Art in London and The Oxford Museum. Francis’s work has also been shown at the Manny Silverman Gallery in Los Angeles and The Bernard Jacobson Gallery in New York. She is the widow of the late painter, Sam Francis.
