The scenario is crystal clear for Palisades High varsity football coach Tim Hyde and his team heading into tomorrow’s Western League finale against Fairfax: win and you’re in.
Victory over the Lions will assure the Dolphins a winning record and a berth in the City Section Division I playoffs while a loss leaves them at .500 and on the bubble.
“Our goal now is to do one thing and one thing only − make the playoffs,” Hyde said. “And you don’t do that unless you beat Fairfax.”
Friday is also Senior Night and the 12th-graders are motivated to win their final regular season home game. The junior varsity game kicks off at 4 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7 at Stadium by the Sea.
