Palisades High junior cross country runner Max Fields took seventh place in the varsity boys race at Saturday’s Bellarmine/Sacred Heart Invitational in Grifftih Park. Fields completed the 2.94-mile course in 15:56.8 to lead the Dolphins to fourth as a team. Axel Mammen (17:05.2) was 21st, Owen Lewicky (17:16.3) was 28th, Andrew Razo (17:18.6), Elan Lee (17:30.0 was 32nd and Brian Welsh (17:48.3) was 36th. Freshman Zachary Cohen won the red division race in 17:14.3.
Senior Ava Baak (fourth in 20:32.3) and junior Kyra Morris (seventh in 20:53.8) helped Palisades win the varsity girls red race. Mollie Wittenberg (21:59.6) was 14th, Virginia O’Neill (22:02.9) was 16th 22nd and Layla Adeli (22:38.3) was 23rd and Sydney Suh (22:46.1) was 27th.
