Max Fields ran the fastest time of the day (15:51.2) and the Palisades High boys cross country team was first in its heat Saturday in City prelims at Pierce College.
The defending champion Dolphins swept the top six spots for a score of 15 and established themselves as the favorites over Heat 2 winner Granada Hills (16 points).
Second to Fields was Andrew Razo (16:05.3), followed by teammatyes Zachary Cohen (16:05.4), Owen Lewicky (16:06.8), Blake Sigworth (16:14.2) and junior Axel Mammen (16:14.8).
Palisades’ girls won their heat with 26 points, led by runner-up Ava Baak (19:29.3), third-place Kyra Morris (19:52.6) and Louisa Mammen (20:17.2) in fifth place.
