More than 250 community members gathered at Corpus Christi Church on Thursday, June 20, to participate in a Feed My Starving Children packing event.
The day was split into four shifts, with a fifth set up shift taking place on Wednesday evening.
Over the course of the day, 404 boxes were packed—87,264 meals.
Feed My Starving Children is a nonprofit dedicated to “providing nutritious meals to children worldwide,” with more than 2.3 billion meals shipped to date.
Each meal, which includes vitamins, vegetables, soy and rice, costs less than 25 cents to make.
