Roberta Donohue, former publisher of the Palisadian-Post, is happy to announce the engagement of her daughter Jennifer. Three weeks ago, Rafael Marino asked for our daughter’s hand in marriage, and I was sworn to secrecy! Rafael immediately started to orchestrate his romantic proposal—first, a stunning diamond engagement ring. After deciding on the location, Raf wrote memory love notes attached to orchids that he planted along a path for Jenny. The notes led her to Raf while he waited at their favorite lookout spot on the cliffs of Point Dume overlooking the ocean. He even made sure it was at the perfect time just as the sun was setting. Sister Ashli Marino was hiding with a camera to record the memories. We finished the evening with a surprise family dinner engagement celebration! Good food, champagne toasts and most important, lots of love!
