Christy Wilhelmi will discuss techniques that all gardeners can use to maximize the yield of a garden, whether it’s in a pot, in a raised bed or in the ground, when she gives a talk on Wednesday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. at Aldersgate Retreat Center, 925 Haverford.
The founder of Gardenerd, a online garden newsletter and blog, Wilhelmi has been growing her own food for over a decade. She teaches organic gardening at Santa Monica College and offers onsite consulting and food-garden design.
Her newly released book, “Gardening for Geeks,” will be on sale Wednesday. This event is co-sponsored by Palisades Cares and the Palisades-Malibu YMCA as part of their community information series.
