Trailing 7-1 in its final game of the Conejo Classic last Saturday, Palisades High’s boys varsity water polo team showed its character, rallying to beat Buena 15-11 to secure 11th place in the tournament.

Palisades bounced back to defeat Yucaipa 16-5, paced by Zach Senator, Mitchell Kim, Kian Lotfi, Lucas Silva and Sammy Speiser and clutch saves by goalie Matt Affeld.
Playing without top scorer Senator (who had a lifeguard test), Kim and Lotfi (who both had ACT testing) on Saturday morning, the Dolphins were tied with Thousand Oaks at halftime before falling 11-7.
