Palisades High senior Jose Sevilla clocked a personal-best 9:35.02 to take third place in the boys 3200 meters and sophomore Max Fields placed fifth in 9:40.98 last Saturday in the South Bay Varsity Track & Field Championships at West Torrance High.
Javier Tiscareno was sixth in the 110 hurdles in a personal-best 16.61; Mikeal King-Haagen was 10th in the 100 meters in a personal-best 11.37 seconds; Daylen Dacay was 13th in the 400 meters in a personal-best 54.63; and Alec Schmitt ran a personal-best 2:04.63 for 17th in the 800 meters.
For the girls, junior Naomi Alyssa Pippins was sixth in the 100 hurdles in a personal-best 17.09 and senior Kylie Webster was 14th in a personal-best 18.84. Kelyse Burgess ran 10th in the 300 hurdles in 52.45 and Webster was 16th in a season-best 54.01. Burgess, Shyla Pierre, Mikayla Murphy and Alexis Ticer were fifth in the 4×100 relay in 51.90. Sophia Santillan, Avery Searle, Giah Holman and Elysha Chae were fourth in th 4×400 relay in 4:42.81. Anisa Watkins (4-8) was fourth in the long jump and Scarlett Porter was fifth in the long jump in 15-02.50.
