Palisades High sophomore Max Fields ran a personal-best 4:28.24 to place fifth in the 1600 meters Friday at the Tiger Invitational Track Meet in South Pasadena. Later, Fields ran 9:35.05 to finish eighth in the 3200 meters.
Zaire Peters was sixth in the shot put with a throw of 44 feet, seven inches, senior Noah Wexler was seventh in the 800 meters in a personal-best 2:00.55, junior Javier Tiscareno was eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in a best effort 16.96 and Henry Cary-Williams was 14th in the 300 hurdles in a personal-best 44.41.
For the girls, junior Naomi Alyssa Pippins was sixth in the 100 hurdles in 17.34 seconds and Kelyse Burgess ran 10th in the 300 hurdles in a personal-best 50.51. Burgess ran the first leg of the Dolphins’ 4×100 relay, which took sixth place in 51.25. Elysha Chae, Shyla Pierre and Mikayla Murphy ran the last three legs.
Junior Ava Baak was ninth in the 800 meters in 2:31.01 and was 12th in the 1600 in 5:38.02.
In the 4×400 relay, Sophia Santillan, Chae, Skyla Jones and Avery Searle placed seventh in a time of 4:28.41.
