CRIME REPORT

GRAND THEFT AUTO

17300 block of Pacific Coast Highway, December 21 at 11 p.m. The suspects (a 40 year old white male, brown hair, and a 40 year old white female) befriended victim and asked to borrow his car to go to the store. Two days later the victim realized that the suspects failed to return victim’s vehicle.

BURGLARY/THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE

400 block of East Channel Road, between January 13 at 7 p.m. and January 14 at 5 a.m. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a backpack and laptop computer.

15700 block of Bowdoin, January 12 between 3:23 p.m. and 3:26 p.m. The suspects (a 30 to 40 year old Hispanic male, black hair, brown eyes, 5’4”, and a Hispanic female, black hair brown eyes, 5’2) smashed the windows of two vehicles and took a laptop computer, backpack and money.

400 block of Entrada, January 12 between 2:55 p.m. and 3 p.m. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a laptop computer.

500 block of Alma Real, Between January 10 at 10 p.m. and January 11 at 11 a.m. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a cellphone and purse.

16100 block of Sunset, between January 6 at 4:15 p.m. and January 9 at 6:30 a.m. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took guitars, drum cymbals, and a drill.

BURGLARY

1100 block of Charm Acres, January 9 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.. The suspect smashed a glass door to enter victim’s home and took a computer (recovered outside of victim’s home).

1100 block of Rivas Canyon, between January 7 at 11 a.m. and January 9 at 6:50 a.m. The suspect forced open a door to enter victim’s home and took computers and a fire-proof lockbox.

1100 block of Las Pulgas,  January 13 between 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. The suspect smashed a glass door to enter victim’s home and ransacked a bedroom, bathroom, and closet. It is unknown what property was taken.

600 block of Alma Real, January 13 between 5:05 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. The suspect entered victim’s home through an unlocked door and took jewelry.

500 block of Chapala, between January 10 at 10:30 p.m. and January 11 at 7 a.m. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s home but was unable to enter.

THEFT

100 block of Ocean Ave, between December 17  at 3 p.m.  and January 7 at 7 a.m. The suspect, possibly part of an exterminator crew, took two rugs and a china set from victim’s home.

500 block of Palisades Dr., January 14 between 10:20 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. The victim left his phone and tablet at location. When the victim returned his property was missing.

17700 block of Porto Marina, between November 14 at 12 p.m. and December 12. The suspect tricked victim into paying rent for a property that the suspect did not own.

200 block of West Channel,  January 9 at 1:30 p.m. The suspect tricked victim into paying rent for a property the suspect did not own.

VANDALISM

900 block of Temescal Canyon, between December 15 at 6 p.m. and December 16 at 2:30 p.m. The suspect cut a power cord to victim’s theater sign.

ARSON

1100 block of Charm Acres, January 2 at 10:45 p.m.. The suspect lit victim’s trash cans and set a Christmas tree on fire.
