Sixth-grader Jack Coleman won first place in the Social Studies competition, seventh-grader Max LaVia won fifth place in the science competition, and sixth-grader Andrew Yang won tenth place in the math competition.
“Studying the lives of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence made me feel so much closer to the founding of our country,” Coleman said.
“It really encouraged my interest in science and math,” Yang added.
The Corpus Decathlon team has competed for the last six years and has won individual medals every year.
